FEEDING
In this short, closely observed performance Niamh embodies the matter of fact reality of breastfeeding an infant. Niamh portrays both the commitment and the tedium of this maternal reality which has formed a constant in her childhood.
HEALING
Installation. A is pregnant with twins and unwell. Modern medicine seems inadequate, so mysterious magical and shamanic practices are used to bring healing. Objects laid on and around A include ornamental, celebratory and totemic items, plus a worship card (Elsa from Frozen) and make believe food. Laying on of hands provided by Dr. R and the Consultant, Niamh.
